thanks for the website!!  i'm looking up some hap or thicker spun lacy
shawl patterns.  in the orengerg shawl book they mention the "warm
shawls" that are spun with one thicker spun strand of white russian
goat down and 3 strands of batiste cotton.  have you ever heard of
batiste cotton?  i know it is a thin fine fiber, but i'm curious of
what makes it different from fine spun cotton?  batiste is the name of
the person who invented it, but i wonder what is signifantly different
than it and fine spun cotton?
