an ounce, 210m per 28g.
A commercially spun shetland one ply cobweb has approximately 430 yards to
an ounce, 393m per 28g.
A handspun gossamer has up to 1400 yards to an ounce 1280m per 28g and is
made up of a doubled ply so actually contains 2800 yards, 2560m of yarn.
It is made today by only a handful of expert spinners worldwide, normally
for their own use and is the thread used to make wedding ring shawls.
