Lordy, all the lace thread I had while living in England and when returning to America in 1981 was WHITE and ECRU. God forbid that anything be mixed! Wouldn't think of putting an ecru gimp with a white thread even though it was quite fetching, I thought! Ecru was all I had to try anyway...Times are achangin' for the good.
