Tamara

Although the task was onerous I appreciate you having let Arachne (and therefore me) know of the passing of a loverly lady, Jean Barrett. She will be remembered for her many small kindnesses she gave to fellow lacemakers and especially a newbie like me.

Jean was one of the first to privately email me and welcome me to the adventure of lacemaking.

Her beautiful coloured torchon is in my "to be attempted when I get better at lace" file. It was something to strive towards and now I will make a piece so that I can remember her each time I raise the bobbins as I work and later as I look at it. That seems to be a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady who will be sadly missed by all on Arachne.

Thank you for letting us know in such a gentle way, that too is appreciated.
