My local suppliers - Lace Inspirations, has a "Comparative Thread Sizes chart (Guide Only)" and they show Egyptian Cotton 50/3 in the same column as Madeira Tanne 50, Zwicky silk 100/3, and Brockens & Fresia linens 80/2.

Depends how broad their columns are!

Bockens 50/3 and Fresia 50/3 are similar but Tanne 50 is quite a lot thinner. Tanne 30 is of a similar thickness to those linens, as is Amann Sylko which I suggested as a likely substitute for Egyptian 50/3. I've not seen Zwicky 100/3 so can't really comment on that but if it's like other 100/3 silks (100 denier x 3) it will be similar in thickness to the linens.
