I was also present at the Lace Guild visit to the Bowes museum, thank you Dianne for your excellent report, and though they generously allowed us to take photos of their lace they did not allow photos to be taken of the collar from the Blackborne collection. I hope that once the exhibit is on display that photos will be permitted but probably all will be displayed in cases and not nearly as accessible as during our visit to Bowes.
