That old thread went up to 17 1/2, making a cotton count of 340, some
says 380, anyway it is very fine.  

I have some of it myself and I like to work with it, litle pieces in
duchesse lace, or in needle-lace, but never working more than half an
hour, it is hard to my eyes.
