Jacquie had wondered if Duchesse bobbins would be ok, but they said they are too light. Have the sizes for the pins - about 48 x 0,8 mm for the picot pins and about 30 x 0,5 mm for the very fine ones for the lace.
The picot pins that the school in Brioude sells are quilters' pins with the colourful, plastic heads.
The largest pillow I can fit in my suitcase is 15" and that's not really big enough for all those bobbins. The pillow is rectangular, so last week I experimented with making 'wings' for it. I made 2 envelopes 15" x 5" of a quilted material and slipped a piece of foamcore in each one. Pinned to the sides of the pillow, they seem to work well.
