Just thought I'd stick my nose in here and add a comment. Last year going to the IOLI convention in Denver, I rode the bus with Lia B.(at the moment can't think of how to spell her name). and she told me of a very neat idea of how to have more than one pillow at a time but actually only have one pillow. You go to the sporting goods section of a store where they sell this blue foam material to put under your sleeping bag when camping.. It's maybe about 1/2 " thick. Cut circles of it the size of your pillow. Pin one piece of it down to the top of your pillow, place your pricking on it and work away. When it comes time for your next class you lift this piece off and place a new one on and work on the next project. Your pins are kept in place and you only need carry one pillow with you. I've tried it and it works very well. You only need one main pillow and have lots of tops for it.

I found a roll of it at Wal-Mart in the USA and was able to get four large circles cut from it.

Subject: [lace] free pillows

I am guilty that every time my friends and I went on a lace course, I never had a free pillow, there was always something on the go that I did not want
to cut off, so I would buy another pillow!!! <Vbg>

Usually I don't cut off projects when in need of a pillow. I just pull the
project from the pillow but keep the pins in the pricking. When reseuming
the work I repin the project. Requires less storage than complete pillows
and I allways have a demo-project at hand whenever something pops up.
