At present I'm using Piper's spun silk 140/2 to work a pattern called Cameo. It's from 'A Visual Introduction to Bucks Point Lace' by Geraldine Stott.
I'm making a rectangle to put on the cover of a photo album which will be covered in creamy, silky material, slightly padded. Inside there will be photos of all the babies who have been christened in the Poole Robe. The present album is looking rather tired. It's one of those where you lifted a thin clear plastic film and placed the photo underneath. After 20 or so years the backing card has discoloured so it's about time for a revamp.
