We had our Christmas early, and my daughter gave me a book she found
in a second hand shop. It is a 1974 reprint of a bobbin lace book,
all in French. In the back of the book are cards with prickings,
complete and not ever used.

The Title page says:

Bibliotheque DMC
Les Dentelles aux Fuseaux

1re serie
Bobbin Lace

with an English Translation by Mary McPeek
Editions Th. de Dillmont
Societe a responsabilite limitee
Mulhouse (France)
Republished by Gale Research Company, Book Tower, Detroit, 1974.

I have all the prickings, but no translation by Mary McPeek, it must
be a separate book that my daughter did not find.

Someone has taped an ad for a Princess Lace loom in the front of the
book, labeled April 1905 Modern Priscilla.

Wow! Can anyone tell me more about this little book? Any suggestions
as to where I could find the English translation?

The book is in excellent condition, I found an old xerox of Pattern 24
in the pages, so someone must have made copies of the patterns and
gave them a try.

The prickings are Torchon, to my inexperienced eyes, and I am so happy
my daughter thought to pick it up for me. She said it must be fate,
since the book has a plain green cover, and she didn't realize it was
bobbin lace until she opened it up and looked at the pictures.

Thanks for any information you can give me!
