I belong to three groups. Pittsburgh Lace Group meets weekly in a church basement. It's free, but we donate at the end of the year. Workshops are at a small-town City Hall type building (called the Borough Building). One of our members is a citizen of that town, which entitles us to use the building.
Out here, the Moonlight Lacers is small, and we meet monthly at people's houses. (Technically, *they* meet at houses--I'm not available to attend the meetings.) The other group, Freeway Lace Guild, meets at a church. The annual Lace Day is at a community center (the day before the Weavers'/Spinners' Guild has their annual Fiber Day in the same place-- makes for a wild weekend). There are mini-workshops at the monthly meetings, but I'm not really sure where "their" workshops are held. There are several groups in the area and I only manage to attend occasional meetings, so I'm not clear who "runs" which workshops. Robin P.
