Hi, I have a lot of lace books, but have to admit that I am not that fluent on all/many of them. So now I have decided that I want to try and do Binche lace. I purchased a couple of patterns without a book. I have Flanders Lace A step-by-step guide. I was told by two people that The Technique of Valenciennes by Cockuyt was a good book to get as a beginner book and now someone else said that there is no connection between Binche and Valenciennes, but if I was going to try the Binche that I should do the Flanders first and that I also heard from the first two people I mentioned also. My main question here is in regard to the Valenciennes book. Will it or will it not help and guide me in doing Binche lace? Whew, that was a lot!
I hope someone can help me with this dilemma of mine. Barbara Barbara J.
