I have just bought this book on eBay - probably just the one Anne is
mentioning! I had never heard of it before but, as I won the Essex Lace
Makers bursary to go on a course, and fancied the one at Swn-y-Gwynt in
Wales - and they only do needlelace - thought I would take this book away on
holiday, and see what I could do! I think I paid just under £4.00
sterling - including postage and packing - so I feel quite pleased.
It is needlelace and, although I have only briefly glanced at it as it came
very recently, it seems to be a quite adequate book to start one off on
needlelace! I had been looking for one of the more well-known needlelace
books on eBay, and getting nowhere fast, so was delighted when this one came
up. I will be away for a month from the 29th August, so will report on
progress - or the lack of it - when I come back. Please bear in mind that
I *will* be taking a lace pillow with one of Jenny Hester's UFO designs on
it as well though - and who knows what lace will win?
