in Chantilly I learned as a rule:
coming from point-ground        3 twists
                       honeycomb          2 twists
                       half-stitch              2 twists
behind the gimp
going into point-ground            2 twists
                   honeycomb              2 twists
                   half-stitch                  1 twist
