Dear Miriam,

I hope it was my late card that you have received. I'm so sorry that I may
have spoiled you joining another exchange. I did mail them out late due to
family emergencies and travels, even though I finished them in the summer.

Yours also just arrived on January 5th. It is quite lovely! I can't tat
very well and truly appreciate the work you have done. I'm trying to set up a
system to show the cards off better next year by placing them all in an altered
book.

Last year, I also missed receiving a card from a partner. It's still worth
it to me to take a chance to keep the beauty of lace circulating.

  Happy New Year and Lacemaking,

Subject: [lace] Card exchange
Sue,
you are not the only one. I offered to make two cards but only
received one in return and that one arrived this week. Way into the new year.

Those things happen and it happened to me for the second time and I
doubt that I'll join another exchange.
