It's been a long time since I worked Honiton, but I remember that when I moved the pillow, I first tied the bobbins down (crocheted strip or length of ribbon - whatever works), and then put another strip of ribbon across the threads just above the heads. This anchored the bobbin in place and prevented it from slipping up out of the "restraints". The trick is to pin that second strip down frequently so they won't slip under it.
