Twice a year? That's what we'd been told -- years ago -- when we got ours (Irish Setter, now deceased). In practice, the "sheds twice a year" meant "sheds the first six months and the second six months of the year" :) In those days, all my lace, always, had some little "reminders" woven in, even though he stayed away from the pillow.
