I have one of those here. She's part Great Dane and part Catahoula. As
much as she sheds, you'd think she'd be completely bald by now. I sweep
the floor and turn around only to find little dog hair tumbleweeds
following me down the hallway <LOL>. I have threatened to put glue in
her drinking water to keep her fur stuck on :D
The other dog is a Black Labrador and she's not too bad. The cat manages
to leave her hair around, too, mostly on my quilting table on the
lightest colored fabric she can find to sleep on :D

Twice a year? That's what we'd been told -- years ago -- when we got
ours (Irish Setter, now deceased). In practice, the "sheds twice a
year" meant "sheds the first six months and the second six months of
the year" :) In those days, all my lace, always, had some little
"reminders" woven in, even though he stayed away from the pillow.
