I didn't watch the TV programme, but I remember
reading back in the 1980s that there was a theatre
production on in London of "Lark Rise" and the actress
who played the part actually learnt to make lace so
that she could look more authentic on stage.

You would think it wasn't too difficult to at least
learn how the bobbins were manipulated....

Anyway to those who saw it (and have, like me, read
the book) was the TV version any good? Should I make
sure of watching it next week?
