I believe so, Jean.....I had a class of six people last weekend who were
supposed to be learning how to use Lace 2000 - but they all wanted to use
the new programme, so I temporarily loaded the latest version I had (it's
changed against since then!) on their computers.....some of them were still
using Windows 97, and older versions of Word too.

I was hoping for the lasso feature, and am so happy it's there. It means
that you can now "lasso" diagonal lines of dots, for instance, whereas you
could only mark rectangular blocks before.

Ruth, will it export to any version of Word? I'm still happily using Word
97.

I've played with the demo, which is fully featured except for opening,
importing, saving, exporting and printing, ie you can try all the functions
needed to create designs. Was so pleased with just being able to freehand
select "lasso" and name layers, apart from anything else, that I've already
order it, even though I've said I'm not going to design anything else. Just
the same as I said I'm not going to buy any more bobbins and promptly joined

a bobbin-a-month club :-D.
