As lots of fans are generally a repeat of a pattern strip, would it be possible to make up one piece of pattern using part of a half circle on a design program. That is badly explained I am sure I will have confused you, but I have seen in a book a piece about 2 inches at the top and maybe 1/4 at the bottom. That way to print off the grid and play with a pencil until you have something you like? With strip work and squares things it is easier to work out but a fan seems more difficult.
Karen, I have seen some for sale on websites (as a kit with sticks or just the pattern) but at the moment cant remember what site. Sue T - Hi Loretta I would love to pay for any fan patterns, that come my way. I remember years ago, when you could go to any lace shows and buy them. Now when I want to do them can I find any no. If you know of any shop with web site or books that have fan patterns in please let me know. My mother who still lives in the UK can not find them, She went to the last big lace show in May in Brim no fan patterns to be found.
