Hi all I find it very puzzling. We all know the groups that have 5 to 10
suppliers visiting their monthly meeting and where for suppliers it is a waste
of time. We went to one Lace day where we were in two class rooms, I won't say
where. Anyway people kept coming to the door and waving to us! Hardly any one
came into either room. At the end the chairwomen came and said "did you have
a good day?" We knew we had done the best of any one but it still dismal, so
we said "no it was a disaster". The lady said, "well what do you expect? We
are an older group and don't really need anything" I was, as we say in the
north of England, gob smacked. We suppliers do talk to each other and I warned
others. On the other side we did Sovereign Suppliers Fair earlier in June. It
was an excellent venue, great parking, lots of space for wheel chairs, a
consideration for me at the moment, good selection of suppliers, catering and
so. Hardly any one came. They will give it one more try so if you want it to
survive think about it next year. Vivienne
