Brenda, If you go by your basic "formula" for a lace fair, we are doing quite well in New South Wales. At our last bimonthly lace day in Sydney, we had our usual 2 general suppliers who both carry just about everything needed books, bobbins, threads, and both have their own specialty items as well. The a couple of suppliers said it was a quiet month for sales, but it was mid-winter and we had recently had some country lace weekends. We also have two bobbin makers, a third recently retired, and on occasion we have vendors such as bead sellers. We average 80 lacemakers in attendance, and as a rule have a speaker and classes. All in all, I would say that we are doing well - our NSW & ACT (Canberra) membership just hit 356 so to have 80 attend from a very large area is good.
