Thank you for the quick replies. The translations came out similar to what I was thinking it meant. As I thought, the scarf can be made in 3 pieces which eliminates having to have a pillow about 11 inches wide. It might be nice to work it all together if I can rig up a roller pillow wide enough, then I will see the full effect of the color changes.
I do have a silk thread I picked up in England that I was thinking of using. It does have a slub to it but it might be worth trying. It is a Texere Yarn called Floral Silks and the group I bought was a Blended Silk Selection called Moor & Loch, a blend of silk wool and cotton. I have 5 spools left with 250 meters on a spool. Wonder if that will be enough, will have to do some math before I start, not my strong point.
