Thank you, I thought it might be easier as the new Mum wasn't my
daughter or direct grand daughter, but no such thing. I am still short
on sleep and with a few extra grey hairs through worrying:-) Still she
is here and very cute.
I shall be doing the baby bonnet, and then with instructions to use for
her wedding whenever that happens. I will hunt through all my books for
a suitable pretty look which will cover both events,
I can certainly see the reason to choose a fairly narrow edging, so
thank you for adding that.

Congratulations on the great grandma thing!!
How wonderful to do it wedding hanky ..... baby bonnet.
I've done it the other way.... baby bonnet.... wedding hanky.
But think how brilliant you'll look when you take the wedding hanky and
stitch a couple of little stitches and make that baby bonnet!
I've done the same pattern (or probably....) that Tamara did (hi T!).
But I would think that any pattern that you like in the 1" wide area
would
work. Wider than that might be a bit over whelming for a baby.
I say pick what you like. There are lots of beautiful patterns out there
to choose from. And choose a lace style that you're comfortable with
so that it is a mission of love.
Good luck and keep us all up on your progress.

On thursday I became a step great grandma and my mind has been
awandering a bit. The question I would like to ask you lacemakers
is about baby bonnet/wedding handkerchiefs.
