I apologise to those who are not interested in Lace RXP - but for those who
have it, I'd just like to tell you that there is a new version available for
download.

A couple of things now work a bit differently, so you might like to print
out the instructions below!

1. The function "Show Duplicate Dots" has now been changed to "Show
Duplicate Elements". So it will now show you duplicated dots, tallies,
roseground, gimps, leaves. Please note that if you simply draw one line,
or one tally on top of a previous one, the second drawing doesn't actually
appear. So if you think you've *drawn* duplicated elements, you might
wonder why they don't show up when you click on "Show Duplicate Elements".
However, if you cut and paste, any duplicated elements on top of each other
will be shown. Please remember that the grids are different in Lace RXP,
so to find all duplicate dots you might have to put a bigger number in the
"pixel" box.

2. The Smooth Gimp button....the curve of the line is controlled by a
technical expression known as "dropping a node". In Lace 2000, you had to
click on the line to drop the node and make the line curve. In most
situations that is a pain, so we changed it to an automatic system in Lace
RXP. A couple of people had trouble with this when going round tight
u-bend curves. So, if you look in "Setup", you will find there is now a
button headed "Curve drawing" and the option for you to tick the box beside
the word "Manual". If you tick "Manual" the curved gimp will work like
Lace 2000. If you untick it, it will work like Lace RXP.

3. Saving print preferences. Lace 2000 remembered the last size you used
to print out a pattern and Lace RXP has now been programmed to do the same,
as well as whether the print selection was colour or black and white, or a
thread size or grid size. Just make sure you hit the "save" button before
you close your file down.

4. Lace RXP now opens a previously-saved file at the same layer you were
on when you saved the file, rather than defaulting back to Layer 1 all the
time.
