The buttons on the Lace RXP screen are by default set to show only a picture, and when you "hover" the mouse pointer over the button, words appear to explain what the button does.
However, you can also change the settings for the buttons. By clicking on "Toolbar", then "Buttons", you can choose to have the picture and some text displayed on the buttons. Whatever words appear on the buttons in this case, "hovering" will also show the explanatory words, which in one or two cases, are slightly different to the bitmap text on the button. I know that the text on the button is sometimes different to what appears when hovering....in the case Angela is quoting, the Text + bitmap setting shows the word "Setup" on the button, but hovering shows "Set Prefs" (short for "Set Preferences".) I did look at trying to get Ian to change this before the programme was issued onto the market....however, the change would also have involved changing other menu options to make them all totally consistent, and as he had already finished reprogramming that part of the programme before he contacted me, I decided these couple of minor inconsistencies were something we could probably live with. I felt I'd rather spend his time and money getting the programme to work smoothly and adding new and useful features.
