Thank you for the stories! I do not know if this is right or left brained or handed - but I taught myself to make lace with my left hand only, while talking on the phone, so I could hold the telephone in my right hand to ear. It is a handy talent if, for instance, one has to wait 'on hold' for an office call, then time isn't wasted waiting if a pin or two can be gained. I am right-handed for most things, lefty for others.
