Dear Arachnids If you use any thread other than the usual natural fibres check if it will stretch. If it does your tension when making lace will cause the threads to stretch and they will shrink when the pins are removed. I tried a polyester thread once and it was obvious that my tension varied; it was the worst piece I have ever made - so be cautious.
