Hi, it all depends on the Rayon you use. I don't know about polyester as I have never tried i, but I would think again quality is what counts. I use our Rayon in most os the patterns we bring out. It does not srink when you take the pins out. It does not spin off your bobbins & it can even wash to 90. I say give it a whirl. It is the Viscose made with wood, I can't vouch for any other but if I was producing paterns which my customer were having trouble with they would not keep coming back for more. Best wishes, Vivienne
