I've been told by my rheumatologist to keep my skin moisturised, but never
to use any cream or lotion with lanolin in. I didn't think to ask why. I
will do at my next appointment next month.
I just go into my pharmacist and ask for aqueous cream in whatever size I
want and they bottle it for me from a bulk container. I gather it's just
water in a non-allergenic agent to hold it on the skin. All that
moisturisers do is enable water to penetrate the outer layer of the skin,
plump them up and make them feel smooth.
