On that subject, since it just came up related to the recent article stating
lace was the trend, where else would one sell it, (aside from Etsy that I
mentioned, which is for various creative media)?

What about International Lace Trading.nv and so forth.  I assume they don't
keystone things, as 100% would be a considerable amount when so much of it is
the time and technique involved from the creator.

Some of you must have information on how much brokers in past centuries
profited.  Of course they marketed it and helped subsidize the cottage
industry, but though some fundamental business strategies endure, there are
more venues today.  For instance the internet could give much more exposure to
a target market.  (No implication of copyright infringement here).

Fashion trends of late have included ruffles and flounces and shirred empire
waistlines, but these things never endure and they seem youthful or romantic
or perhaps temporary indulgence, to much of the mainstream market.  Of course
there has always been the trend for more flamboyant fashions when the economy
is down, contrary to what one would think.  This wouldn't segue to the lace
market though, as you are taking temporary satiation, vs. timeless
investment.

Best,
Susan Reishus
