He's a dachshund - I designed him so that I would have some bookmarks to
sell at a fundraising garden party in 1991 - he raised just over £100
for our local hospice, St Giles - hence his name.

The pattern was published in a couple of lace (CLG and Young Lacemaker)
magazines in or around 1993. I know I sent the pattern to the Pittsburgh
