I made him and gave him to a friend who had recently got a small dog, not a dachshund, but a jack russell, so it seemed to fit nicely. I made your lovely cups and saucer one for people we met doing family history stuff in durham, they were so helpful and lovely (plus they invited us to their cream tea afternoon, <grin>), so it just seemed to fit the bill.

It was really interesting to see how you created the pattern and it has inspired me to play a bit and I am managing to work some little bits of patterns out on my machine. Most of my creations have been strip work rather than these cute little novelties, but maybe oneday. My silk garter is coming on fine, and I am perhaps 2/3 - 3/4 of the way through, but have already made a couple of alterations for future patterns (a wider space for ribbon than this one has. I will need to hunt out some narrow ribbon soon.

I have left the link to my website below, but sometime soon it will be moved when our isp is changed.

I am curious about "Giles" & wondered what sort of dog he might be??
He's a dachshund - I designed him so that I would have some bookmarks to
sell at a fundraising garden party in 1991 - he raised just over £100
for our local hospice, St Giles - hence his name.
Sue T has worked him, and put a photo of her work on her web page -
you'll find he is the third one down at:
