Mrs Barry told in interviews that her aim was to tell the historie of lace!!!!! My question, has anybody of you read this book and is it worth to buy it?>
I have listened to the book called The Lace Reader and it is more about telling fortunes by reading the lace, similar to reading tea leaves or looking at a crystal ball. I only saw one book on the following site attributed to Ms.Barry and maybe you can see if the cover is similar to the book you are writing about. I do not recall much, if any history or details about lace making. I did not personally care for the book. I suggest you borrow it from a library and save your money for lace books. http://www.harpercollins.com/authors/34123/Brunonia_Barry/index.aspx Janice Janice Blair Crystal Lake, 50 miles northwest of Chicago, Illinois, USA www.jblace.com http://www.lacemakersofillinois.org - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
