I agree totally with Janice - I read a lot (or listen to books-on-tape while
making lace) and it was one of the few books that I didn't bother
finishing - the story itself wasn't satisfying at all.

here in Germany in several magazines they announced a book from Brunonia

to tell the historie of lace!!!!!
My question, has anybody of you read this book and is it worth to buy it?>
I have listened to the book called The Lace Reader and it is more about
telling fortunes by reading the lace, similar to reading tea leaves or
looking at a crystal ball. I only saw one book on the following site
attributed to Ms.Barry and maybe you can see if the cover is similar to
the book you are writing about. I do not recall much, if any history or
details about lace making. I did not personally care for the book. I
suggest you borrow it from a library and save your money for lace books.
