yesterday I wanted to send you an explanation to the link about this
needle lace but as it often happenens somebody else asked me something
and later ...
The link about the Gros Point de Venice is the result of a project the
Museum of Retournac wanted to do together with museums and lace-
collectors all over the world. Unhappily the echo, specialy in
Germany, wasn't as big as Bruno Ythier hoped. And money was the other
problem. They hoped to held a symposium about this theme.
The laces you can see and study at that link were analysed by Youlie
Spantidaki.
The museum of Retournac together with the textile-museum in Saint-Gall
and Artex in Athens hope to could organize a little scientific
council at the end of november.
