Dear Arachnes, I finally got around to trying Google Translator on Elizabeth's blog. It's great! She provides a lot of information on nanduti lace.
To translate the site, go to http://translate.google.com/translate_t#. Paste the URL of her blog (http://rendatenerife.blogspot.com) into the box. Select Portuguese > English and click Translate. I found particularly interesting the photos showing nanduti worked on a wooden frame in Maracaibo. I'd only seen it worked on pegs or pins or sewn outlines.
