makes the receiving of lace gifts much more special to understand what I

Hi Sue,
The letter "S" is very sweet... I believe it is probably machine-made, and
is what is referred to as "chemical lace", because the design is machine
embroidered on a special fabric or paper which is then dissolved away,
leaving the threads.
