Unbelievable....1000 Arachnians, and no postings? The northern half must be frozen and the southern half lethargic from the heat. Surely someone is still awake and making lace. The holiday season when postings usually slow down is now over.
What lace have you recently started.....finished....made progress on....gave away.....put in an exhibit......etc. I'm very proud of a collar I just finished. It's 40 inches long, and I made it in 18 days! I was very surprised and pleased with how fast it progressed. Yes, I did spend about four hours or a bit more a day on it, but I expected it to take longer. (I have to admit that it was the second time I'd done the pattern so I didn't have to spend time figuring out how it went together.) IOLI members can see it at conference next summer. I'm now working on a Bucks Point pattern. I haven't done this kind of lace for several years so it's an interesting challenge. It's going much more slowly than the above collar, and it's hard to see through the pins to see how it looks, but the corner I could remove pins from looks quite nice. Both of these projects have square tallies in them. I'm getting lots of practice with tallies. What have you been doing? Alice in Oregon -- warmer than normal temps but very damp. Showers listed everyday this week. - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. For help, write to arachnemodera...@yahoo.com
