Dear Spiders,
Last February I believe it was, Susan from Erie, PA posted a mention
about the Great Lakes Fiber Festival which was held this past weekend
in Wooster, Ohio. I want to say a special thanks to Susan as a friend
and I had an absolutely delightful weekend there and can't wait until
next year! Most of the vendors were unknown to us (i.e. not
participants at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival or NY S&W in
Rhinebeck) and that made it even nicer as we got to see some new
things. I have recently gotten back into spinning with the objective
of making threads and yarns for BL as well as lace knitting....at least
that's my justification <g>..! The festival is not well advertised and
was not even mentioned on Ravelry, but I want to recommend it to anyone
who is able to attend next year if you have an interest in this sort of
thing. Also, Wooster is a lovely town, worth visiting all by itself.
Also, we were told that the show was twice as big this year compared to
last, and is expected to continue growing.
Vicki in Maryland who missed going to Wolf Trap Farm Park for the
Performing Arts tonight to see Riverdance (for the 4th time (-:) due to
severe thunderstorms as we had lawn tickets...had to settle for
picnicking indoors and watching the video!
