Hello All! Just returned from a 3 day weekend with other students in Cortland, OH with our teacher from Belgium--Vera. She's a delight & I am pleased to report that my leaves are drastically improved under her tutelage!! My plan to spend 3 days immersed in Cluny was hijacked by her nifty motifs in Vologda. Her series of angels is super & somewhat like potato chips--you can't just have one!!! I started angel #6 with plait & picot fillings using pale yellow Anchor 80 & a variegated yellow boucle (Brazilian embroidery) thread for gimp. WOW--I'm in love. I think she is on her way to teach in the Washington DC area so I hope other Arachnids will have a chance to work with her. Usual disclaimers, just a satisfied student/customer.
