The Piedmont Lace Guild of Virginia is planning a Beginning Flanders Workshop for the fall. The dates are 17-19 September 2010. Instructor will be Bobbi Donnelly. The guild originally had planned to have the workshop last April, but due to a variety of circumstances we ended up with too few participants. Fortunately Bobbi was able to reschedule, and we would like to invite lacemakers from the Piedmont and Central region of Virginia to join us. For more information, please check out our website at <http://www.piedmontlace.org> www.piedmontlace.org.
Bobbi Donnelly has been making lace since 1991, studying both here and abroad. She studied Flanders lace with Michael Giusiana and her work can be seen in his book Flanders, published in 2004. During the summer, Bobbi teaches Beginning to Advanced Tønder lace at Sweet Briar College in Lynchburg, VA. Bobbis lace work can also be seen in OIDFA's Schwarz & Weiss, Black & White, Noir & Blanc.
