 I would think that idea could easily be duplicated by any wood turner 
(like my father) by making a wooden handle & inserting a ring of wire 
with the ends firmly glued into the handle.
Thinking about it, as a lacemaker, I would prefer the 2 pieces separate 
so that I could make the lace without the handle getting in the way, & 
then fit them together later.
