Astounding that someone would use that kind of product on a textile, much less the fact that it is designed for permanent applications. Again, people don't realize how much work goes into lace (or perhaps don't care). So glad that you rectified the situation. I would even be nervous even with pins as they could break the fibers, and would probably specify that they were used within the lace holes, and placed at angles (and would offer to mount it myself). Perhaps bringing pre-mounted lace could counter some of this, as even if it wasn't used, it would provide an example, and the tools to use (and one could choose the background color for best effect).
