Christa, for Denmark I have no idea how many people work with spangled bobbins. But I didn't meet anybody working with such bobbins I mentioned. By the way the pearls aren't at the bottom but on top of the bobbin. And nobody there knew something about. It was a danish men who brought them finer thread and new patterns in 16th century, perhaps those bobbins has to do with this.
