Bev is so very right! Two hours driving on an open motorway will take you about 140 miles and more if you exceed the speed limit. Two hours driving on the congested roads might only get you 50-60 miles on a good day, 15 miles on a bad day, and on a very bad day you could be sitting in a traffic jam going nowhere for two hours.
I still haven't received my copy of Lace 140 yet, but looking at the list of lace days on The Lace Guild website there are a couple that I could get to with a bit of effort (but they are both in Essex so M25 and Dartford crossing to negotiate) but none that I will choose to go to.
