This can happen in the US too! On Friday night we tried to drive downtown to
see our son's opening night in a trilogy of plays by G B Shaw. In 1 hour and
20 mins we went 10.9 miles and still had 11 mins driving to go. We were then
10 minutes late for the start and turned round and gave up, as they would
not let us in until the 2nd act, and he was in the first of the trilogy
:( We'll try again next Thursday.
I have been demonstrating lace for the last three days at the Chicago
Botanic Garden during the Fine Art of Fiber. It was fun - and more eventful
than usual, with the emergency services called out twice. My Christening
gown was much admired - and I was very pleased to have finished it (with
more than 12 hours to spare!!)
And the best question ever: "Is this the tattoo parlour?"
Work that one out! Lateral thinking needed
