Dear Jeri and all arachneans, Jeri allow me to add something to your report about Halas lace. The three fish are taken from the coat of arms of the city of Kiskunhalas and doesn't appear before 1934. Between 1902 and 1911 they made also halas laces with colored silk and sometimes decorated with metallic threads. Today they knew over 60 different stitches. And there aren't more than 12 lacemakers Zsuzsa Kiliti, todays director, of the manufactur went to every lacy event to sell those beautiful laces. With her always one of the lacemaker who worked and showed how it is done.
